The Dream….

The other day I was invited to my neighbors for Baby Henrys 100th day celebration. We were all gathered in their living room and one of the guests was told that I had done a CD of Lullabies. He asked me why I chose that particular project and what was my inspiration. I looked up and saw baby Henry being rocked so gently to sleep by his Aunt and I pointed to them and said, "That's why". "A Dream Is Born" was created from a lot of prayer, patience and many God given talents. But I truly believe this project stems mostly from a mothers love for her child, not only mine for Brad, but from my mothers for me as well.

My heart for this CD was to help families create a special, peaceful time together, whether it be rocking to sleep, preparing for bedtime or just driving the in the car to school, soccer practice, baseball tryouts…etc…This quality time together with our children, friends and family, is so important for we all have our busy schedules and live in such a fast paced world! These special moments together will always be cherished memories by parents and children alike.

In addition to this quality time my desire is encourage all of us to continually lift our children up to the Lord in prayer! They may be our own children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, or perhaps that special child that we see in our neighborhood, at school, or on the street. Children are truly a gift from God! And we need to pray for guidance, wisdom, safety, but most of all give Him thanks for letting us have a part of their lives!

"The most important thing we can do is to pray for our children constantly. I believe that intercessory prayer n behalf of our children is something that we can begin before they are born and continue on through life, this is our true legacy". Pastor Jim Hayford

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. ~ Deuteronomy 6:5-9

And please remember… no matter how much we love our children, friends and family… nothing compares to the love, grace, acceptance and forgiveness of our Lord, Christ Jesus for all of His children!

Blessings,

Shannon
