Shannon has humorously indicated that sometimes her brain is not connected to her mouth....there is, however, nothing wrong with the strong connection from her heart to that melodic voice of hers. The purity of tone is magical, and in various selections one can hear how Shannon could use the instrument of her voice across many genres, soul, jazz, R&B, torch....the range and clarity is all there. I would love to hear more of her repertoire!

As the instructor of prenatal education and a lactation consultant, I advise new parents to find music that relaxes them to help through childbirth and when the new baby is home. This CD contains the type of songs that relax and encourage a wide variety of listening styles as well as ages. It's a popular item in our in-hospital boutique.

Shannon has a beautiful voice and the combination of songs on "A Dream is Born" are really perfect.  As a new Mom I have several lullaby CD's and they are all basically the same.  But not this one.   As I listen I feel that Shannon sings with her heart and soul.   She reminds us that children are a dream, a beautiful gift from God.

I have purchased many copies of this CD for my grandchildren and for friends with young children. Every family has responded to me with comments regarding the peacefulness and gentleness of the songs on the CD. The little kids love the songs and the parents enjoy putting their kids to bed with this peaceful music. One grandchild, 6 years old, suffering with leukemia, finds this CD especially peaceful and it brings quiet to her heart as she deals with issues too big for her age. Thank you, Shannon, for making a great quality CD that is enjoyable for all ages!

Shannon Wilson’s “A Dream Is Born” is a wonderful collection for listeners of all ages. Not just for bedtime, her soothing, melodic and peaceful selections come straight from her heart, inspiring each of us to dream. Shannon is a truly beautiful and enchanting artist.

Shannon has a beautiful heart, one can tell from listening to her voice and music. My favorite recording is "Psalms 121" ~ there is a note she manages to hit in this song that sends shivers up and down my spine and causes tears to well up in my eyes. "Dream a Little Dream of Me" is another favorite, but I can honestly say I love the entire CD. Shannon is a personal friend (I received an honorable mention inside the CD jacket) but I can assure anyone reading this that my review is unsolicited! I wish for Shannon a huge success with "A Dream is Born", so I can say "I knew her when!"

Shannon Wilson’s “A Dream is Born” is so much more than a recording for the purpose of lulling infants off to dreamland.  Both children and grownups alike will find this collection of soothing melodies spiritually refreshing and emotionally engaging. Shannon’s vocals are clear and full of expression. She sings as both a gifted artist and a tender-hearted mother. While remaining in the lullaby genre, the songs selected for this project present a full array of styles coming from sources as varied as Broadway, movie, pop, hymn, folk and international tunes. Along with Shannon’s distinctive voice is heard whole sections of stirring group vocals as well as segments featuring instrumental soloists.  So whether you are an droopy-eyed infant or a grownup “child of God” weary after a long day, Shannon Wilson’s “A Dream is Born” will prove to be a “time of refreshing” for one’s body, mind and soul.

I have known Shannon since her youth.  It was exciting to learn of her CD "A Dream Is Born".  This is the perfect gift for expectant Mom's.  For me personally, I listen as a background for prayer.  The music softly calls me to pray for children of all ages.
